La Barcolana triestina 2014

Esimit Europa 2 ha vinto oggi la 46.ma edizione della Barcolana, la regata più affollata del mondo. Dopo una sofferta regata, senza vento, Esimit Europa 2 si è aggiudicata la gara per il quinto anno consecutivo, tagliando il traguardo ridotto dalla giuria per l'assenza di vento.La regata è stata condizionata dall'assenza di vento, tanto che la giuria ha deciso di accorciare il percorso. Alla partenza Maxi Jena aveva offerto un ottimo sprint, riuscendo a superare i grandi favoriti di Esimit Europa 2. Poi la lenta gara ha visto il ritorno di Esimit, che ha ripetutamente provato a combattere la bonaccia cambiando vele, ed è riuscita a prendere il primo posto. A metà gara però è stata di nuovo l'assenza di vento a dominare: sia le grandi imbarcazioni che le altre quasi 1.800 barche che partecipano alla regata si sono trovate praticamente ferme.
