TORONTO - Police release video of the shooting

Toronto police have released security-camera video of a shooting near Finch Avenue West in a bid to identify and locate two suspects.  The shooting at 15 Pittsboro Dr. near Finch Avenue West and Martin Grove Road Wednesday morning left a 20-year-old man in critical but stable condition. He is now in hospital after surgery. Police Chief Mark Saunders said police have identified one suspect as Shamaury White, 21, of Toronto. The second suspect has not been identified. Neither suspect has been arrested and both are considered armed and dangerous, the chief said.  The video shows one suspect approaching the victim in what appears to be a parking lot and shooting him at close range. Then it shows the two suspects walking away.  Police said the two men, armed with handguns, approached the victim at about 9:15 a.m. He was shot at close range several times. The second suspect also fired several shots at the man.

INDIA - Gujarat riots: 24 convicted of massacre of Muslims

A court in India has convicted 24 people for their part in the 2002 riots in Gujarat state.
More than 1,000 mainly Muslims were killed in the violence. The riots began after several Hindu pilgrims were killed when the train they were in was set on fire, allegedly by a Muslim mob.
Human rights activists and victims' families say they still don't feel justice has been served.
