Agent Used Woman's Photos In Facebook Sting

A woman is suing the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) after it targeted an alleged New York narcotics ring using a fake Facebook profile filled with her images. 
DEA agent Timothy Sinnigen took the photos from Sondra Prince's phone after arresting her in July 2010. The images were then used to impersonate Ms Prince in an investigation into an alleged drug ring.
She discovered the fraudulent profile and is now suing the agency and Mr Sinnigen, seeking $250,000 (£155,000) in damages. Mr Sinnigen - who pretended to be Ms Prince during a conversation with at least one fugitive connected to the DEA's New York probe - is claiming qualified immunity from the lawsuit. The DEA believes Ms Prince is the girlfriend of the alleged drug ring's leader, with one unnamed agent describing her in court papers as "the secretary". 
Ms Prince has previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute. 
The fake account was maintained for three months, with several friend requests being both sent and received.


Una donna ha citato in giudizio la US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) dopo esseere stata presa di mira dal Dipartimento per un presunto traffico di droga nel quale  nel quale la Narcotici di New York utilizzo' un profilo Fake in Facebook pieno di sue immagini. 
L'Agente della DEA Timothy Sinnigen ha preso le foto dal telefono di Sondra Prince dopo il suo arresto nel luglio 2010. Le immagini sono state poi utilizzate per impersonare la signora principe in un'inchiesta su un presunto giro di droga. 
Sondra Prince ha scoperto il profilo fraudolento ed ha ora citato in giudizio l'agenzia e l'Agente Sinnigen, in cerca di $ 250,000 (£ 155,000) come risarcimento danni. Mr Sinnigen - che fingeva di essere la signora Prince durante una conversazione con almeno un latitante collegato con l'agente del DEA di New York , pretende di avere la immunita' alla denuncia per la siua qualifiarispetto la querela. La DEA crede che Ms Prince sia la fidanzata del leader di un presunto giro di droga, come compare nella sua descrizione di un agente anonimo nei documenti del tribunale ove esse viene citato come "segretario". Sondra Prince in precedenza era stata dichiarata colpevole di concorso di possesso e intenzione di vendita di droghe. Il falso account è stato mantenuto per tre mesi, con diverse richieste di amicizia .
