Nigeria’s rice farmers push for local consumption

Nigerians are paying more for rice, the country’s staple food. 
While economic factors are being blamed for the increase, many local farmers see it as an opportunity to make more from their crops, as well as change the perception that local rice is not as good as imported varieties.
