Boodschappen doen kan erg lastig zijn als je aan dementie lijdt. Gelukkig is daar nu een oplossing voor. De medewerkers van de dementievriendelijke supermarkt in het Utrechtse Doorn hebben een speciale training gekregen om zo goed mogelijk met dementiepatiënten om te gaan.

Власти Израиля сообщили в четверг, что 2 гражданина этой страны удерживаются на территории сектора Газа, находящегося под контролем радикального палестинского движения ХАМАС. Another bomb scare at a Winnipeg Canada Post depot has workers on edge
Winnipeg emergency crews were called to another Canada Post depot after a report of a suspicious package on Wednesday. The depot, at the corner of Nairn Avenue and Panet Road, was evacuated shortly after 8:30 a.m. The bomb unit, with bomb-detecting dogs, swept through the building and gave the all-clear after 11 a.m. By 11:30, emergency crews were packing up to leave, but a spokesman for the Canadian Union of Postal Workers said some employees have decided to go home for the day, citing stress. Todd Jarema , the CUPW regional representative, said a lot of workers are scared by the recent spate of suspicious package calls. Emergency crews have been responding to calls all week, since last Friday's law office bombing that seriously injured Maria Mitousis. Two other packages were detonated through the weekend and police say they were all sent through Canada Post.

South Carolina Senate passes legislation to remove 'slavery flag'
South Carolina's Senate has voted to remove the Confederate battle flag from flying above the state capital's grounds. A bill to banish the flag in a museum easily passed a third and final reading by 36 to 3. The legislation is now headed to the state House of Representatives. The flag is viewed by many as a symbol of slavery, which has been compounded by the gunman in the Charleston church massacre being photographed with one.

World's oldest living person celebrates 116th birthday
The world’s oldest living person Susannah Mushatt Jones celebated her 116 birthday on July 6. The occasion was marked privately with her family. Jones is the daughter of Alabama sharecroppers and the third of 11 children. She has outlived all her siblings and although she has no children of her own she has more than 100 nieces and nephews.
The elderly lady was presented with a certificate proclaiming that she’s now the world’s oldest living person. Jones’ recognition comes after the death in June of Jeralean Talley. Jones was born in 1899, and became the record holder June 17, 2015. When she was 106, she told the New York City Housing Authority her key to longevity: “I never drink or smoke. I surround myself with love and positive energy. That’s the key to long life and happiness,” Jones stated.
